The Maxim Case Study

Alpha Media Group is the perennial leader in men's lifestyle publications. Each year Maxim, its flagship publication, conducts a worldwide contest to name the next "Hometown Hottie™." In recent years, coverage of the contest has featured photos and some user-generated video of the 100 finalists. For the 2009 contest, Maxim sought to upgrade the experience with professionally produced video for each of the 100 finalists.

To accomplish this feat, Maxim would be required to go on location to each hometown hottie in locales ranging from British Columbia to Germany and everywhere between. To make matters more challenging, contest timelines dictated that the 100 on location shoots in 46 states and 3 countries and all edits needed to be conducted within 30 days. Enter StudioNow.

Using its worldwide network of professional filmmakers and powerful production platform, StudioNow scheduled, shot, edited, and produced 100 original videos within the 30 day time frame. In addition, StudioNow orchestrated the syndication of these videos to sites like the Maxim YouTube channel and various mobile providers.
