Mr. Lippman made his mark in visual music and has done so for the past 20 years. With his first music video for Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road" in 1978 to his ground breaking long-form music video "Ol' Cowboys & Dreamers", Mr. Lippman has been on the edge of new entertainment technologies, forms, distribution and production.
As a producer, director and editor, he has created videos such as, Kenny G.'s "Songbird" and "Coming Home;" Little Feat's "Texas Twister" and "Red Gumbo;" videos for Chris De Burgh's "The Lady in Red," Expose, Stryper, Alan Jackson, Charlie Daniels, Collin Raye's "Love, Me," Steve Earle, Ian Tyson, and Joe Diffie. As a producer and line producer, his videos include, Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean;" Billy Idol's "Dancing with Myself;" "Against All Odds," "Ghost Busters," and "Smokin' in the Boy's Room" with Motley Crue.
A graduate of the prestigious New York University School of the Arts filmmaking program, Mr. Lippman has created more than just music videos. He created an television special for New Line Cinema, starring Martin Lawrence. A documentary on Ram Records founder Myra Smith, "Reconsider Me," as well as documentaries for "All The Kings Men" about Elvis original band and "Native American Spirituality" a television series episode. He has directed plays and musicals off-Broadway and mini-documentaries on an assortment of music artists.
